Nick was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from Columbia College with a degree in finance. Nick started in the financial service industry in 2000 working with one of the largest brokerage firms in the nation. In 2005, he moved to Tennessee to help expand a very successful smaller-sized financial planning firm. Nick and his family then moved to the great state of Texas to open a new territory for that firm.
In 2016, Nick founded RLC Wealth Management, headquartered in Plano to better serve his clients and their financial planning needs with emphasis on planning for retirement and planning during retirement.
Nick; his childhood sweetheart, Erica; and their children, Emily and Will, have made Frisco their home since 2005. The family enjoys skiing, golfing, and being active in community service projects. Nick’s father was also a financial planner and then general partner of a large investment firm, and his conservative outlook has been focused in Dr. Thomas Stanley’s books, The Millionaire Next Door and The Millionaire Mind.
In addition to Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations held through Commonwealth Financial Network® (Commonwealth), Nick also holds life, health, and annuity licenses.
After careful consideration during the planning stages of his new firm, Nick and his staff were very meticulous in selecting their broker/dealer partner—or, as Nick calls it, his "back office." The only way to discover those wants and needs is to reject the "do this because I said so and I am smart" approach of too many advisors. Nick and his team at RLC Wealth Management believe that people who have built their own wealth and business career deserve better. They deserve the opportunity to have all options explored and explained so they can make important decisions based on their specific needs. Clients will never hear "because I said so" at RLC Wealth Management.
Nick and all team members of RLC Wealth Management believe that all aspects of a client’s financial plan share equal importance, including, but not limited to, investment management, tax planning, risk analysis, and cash flow management. In working with their clients, Nick and his team spend as much time as clients demand to fully understand their unique situation, develop a plan, and help clients build the necessary team to help them protect, build, and maximize their wealth. Nick believes that given the right information in an understandable and actionable way, clients can make decisions without being “sold” an investment. He believes that the why is just as important as the what when it comes to true wealth management and making important decisions.
